Hello, I’m Adam. I’m a father of two, a nine-time marathon runner, and a cyclist with interests in art, nature, ideas, and action – and specifically the connection between idea and action.
This blog is a space where I will bring together the things that interest me. The impulse will be to give some sort of form to the never ending flow of ideas, thoughts, fragments – the blog will function as a kind of net to catch those things that might otherwise be lost. Perhaps with time the content will cohere into some kind of recognisable whole. Or perhaps not.
The blog is called Abstract Lines – I like that this can refer to the writing here, as well as to lines in art more generally. Also potentially a kind of tension, too, between chaos and order. This is where I will try to make sense of it all.
