About

I work in data, insight, and decision support, and I’m increasingly interested in building practical tools that solve real problems.

My background is in higher education planning and business intelligence, where I’ve spent years working with messy data, interpretation, reporting, and helping people make better decisions. Alongside that, I build small apps and systems around things I care about: health, nutrition, endurance training, automation, and useful software.

I’m also a very keen cyclist and try and workout 10-15 hours a week so I’m super focused on health and nutrition.

In short, I’m interested in a lot of things. Some serious, some not so serious. This site is a place to collect that work.

Some of what appears here will be polished projects. Some will be notes, experiments, or early thinking. I’d rather publish useful work in progress than wait for everything to look finished.

The themes you’ll find here are fairly consistent:

  • practical software
  • health and nutrition tools
  • data analysis and decision support
  • systems, habits, and behaviour
  • writing that tries to make complex things clearer

I’m especially interested in projects that sit between disciplines — where software, data, and lived experience can be combined into something genuinely useful.

I work in data and insight, and I build practical tools around health, nutrition, software, and decision-making.
